Futures can be built and worked on everywhere an in any way! Alagesan and I might not have spoken much of the same language, but we understood the mission in the end. My appreciation goes out to a lovely soul who risks it all to come to a place where he doesn’t speak the main administrative language!
Tamil might be an official language of Singapore, it’s actually not that widely adopted! With an minority of only 5% of Singaporeans being ethnically Tamil and an even smaller group of 3.5% of the whole of Singapore being proficient in the language.
He’s uprooted his life to Singapore for a total of 3 years already, only having gone back once. Contracts of foreign workers in Singapore are generally only for 2 years, after which they will go back to India for a short period awaiting their new contract to be approved.
